My heart breaks for you. You and your wife will make a wonderful Mom and Dad; you’ve already proven you care deeply about how best to parent. Praying right now that God will make your wife the “happy mother of children” (Psalm 113:9). That’s the scripture promise I clung to when we were having difficulty conceiving our second child. Two and a half years after her birth, #3 came along–a surprise! (We’re now empty-nesters.) You’ve demonstrated courage here, Intrepid. It’s painful to relive difficult moments in order to write it down. But you will undoubtedly minister support and encouragement to many others through this post!

That’s so heartbreaking to read. Miscarriages are generally taken as not-so-serious loss and the emotional trauma that parents, especially mothers go through is often ignored. Stay strong. I pray that God bless you and your wife in unexpected ways and happiness. Amen
