I hate clichés. So, here is a little more about me; the author behind Intrepid Venture.
I was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. For those that don’t know: Brooklyn is one of New York City’s five boroughs. It is the most populous and forms part of the very large Long Island.
I was a curious and inquisitive young lad messing around with electricity, bugs and metals. I wanted to know how the universe was run and all its fascinating secrets. I’d collect palmetto bugs with my sister in my yard until my mind wandered to pirate ships and buried treasure. Years later, I was surrounded by a culture not my own and forced to learn a language I’d only known in snip-its.
All these boyish dreams of foreign lands and science were put to the test…in college. I took courses in natural sciences, courses in media, courses in literature and courses in theology.
Well, those four years sure did slake my thirst for knowledge (though I always yearn for more), but college did more for me than that. Ya see, I chose to go to college in the Pacific Northwest, which is drastically far from my hometown. Having finished my studies I decided to stick around.
The culture of the Pacific Northwest has somehow managed to simultaneously impress, inspire and horrify me all at once. Well, the PNW has left its mark on me. Now it’s my turn. Time to leave my mark on this place and the people around me. I’ll do it one inspired person at a time. (insert winkie emoji here)

I badly want to visit Brooklyn someday! It’s so fancy. ❤

I didn’t know Long Island was comprised of boroughs. That is really interesting!

Oh, Long Island is the physical island. Brooklyn and Queens are part of the physical island but are seen as separate. Brooklyn is Kings County. Queens is Queens County bordered by Nassau County to the east.

Hi Intrepid, I wish you success with leaving the mark on your new home and people you meet.
I know two people from Brooklyn and they have moved far and are strong individuals.
One thing they share is their love for Brooklyn😊 . It is like a secret bond.
